2026 CWBL Finals
The Alberta Northern Lights are hosting the 2026 CWBL Finals at Saville Community Sports Centre on April 17-19, 2026. 22 teams will compete in 4 divisions.

Hall of Fame Inductions
The 1980s team is being inducted into the Wheelchair Basketball Canada's Hall of Fame during Friday's premier game at halftime .
​
Roy Sherman and ​Gary McPherson will be inducted at the banquet on Saturday evening.
​
Dim Sum & The Drake Hotel April 17th
Alumni are being invited to attend lunch on Friday, April 17th for dim sum and drinks at the Drake Hotel afterwards!
Lights vs CIVA April 17 @ 7pm
Please come out and watch an exciting match we are naming our 'premier game'! The Alberta Northern Lights will compete against their rival team the CIVA from Quebec. Tip off is at 7:00pm! Admission is free. The game is being played on the main court at Saville.
Beer Garden @ CWBL Finals
We will set up Classroom 4 aka The Lounge in the Main Gym as our 50th Anniversary headquarters. We will be displaying the club's historical artifacts including trophies, photos, medals, retired jerseys and other miscelaneous treasures.

The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame will be displaying inductee's treasures and telling stories of the alumni's wheelchair basketball journeys.
​
Enjoy a beer and watch the Friday evening premier game around the track!

The beer garden hours:

Friday - Noon-9pm
Saturday - Noon-5pm
Sunday - 11am-2pm
Spring 2026 Get Together
Current members will gather for a fun afternoon at the Rec Room (date TBD).
